What are the Couch Potato Races?

Let’s be real — it’s barely a race, and that’s exactly the point!
Join us for a laid-back 0.5K (about 600 yards) of pure fun. Whether you walk, jog, strut, or stroll, this “race” is all about enjoying the moment with your friends, family, and pets.

Every paid participant gets an official race bib and the unmatched pride of saying, “Yeah, I did a 0.5K.” 🏅 (Without even breaking a sweat. Plus the bib is your ticket for the chance to win great prizes!)

Think you’re fast… on a couch? 🛋️💨
Grab your friends and enter the Couch Potato Races — where teams race decorated couches (yes, actual couches!) around the 0.5K course in timed heats. Up to 12 teams can compete for glory, bragging rights, and possibly the most ridiculous trophy you’ve ever seen.

Build it. Decorate it. Push it. Win it.
Just don’t forget your helmet and flair!

1. Registration

  $25 – Regular Admission (18 and up)

  FREE -Regular Admission (0-17)

2. Free T-Shirt Deadline

  Register by April 16, 2025 for a guaranteed T-shirt

  After that: first-come, first-served

3. Door Prizes

• 
  Each participant gets a numbered bib. This is their ticket to an opportunity to WIN PRIZES!

  Door prize drawings during the event

  Must be present to win

4. Kids and Dog Welcome For Free

• 
  Kids and dogs attend FREE
• 
  No bibs for them
• 
  Dogs must be leashed and owners must clean up after them

5. Costumes Encouraged

  Dress in beachwear, tropical attire, or Jimmy Buffet vibes!

6. All for a Good Cause

  Proceeds benefit Rotary Club of Madison’s local service projects
