Madison City Employees of the Year Awards

In conjunction with the City of Madison, we have the privilege each year of recognizing outstanding Madison City employees representing fire protection, law enforcement, and community services.  To be eligible for these awards, the candidate must have been a full time City of Madison employee for the last two years with continuous above and beyond the call of duty performance OR performance of a single outstanding service act for the citizens of Madison.

Still Serving Veterans

In keeping with our 17-year long tradition, Madison Rotarians honored three city employees chosen by their supervisors and peers as outstanding employees of the year. Veterans Prayer Breakfast

Madison Rotarians are proud to support and honor our veterans.  We sponsor the Veteran of the Week, the honoree of which is featured in a weekly article in the Madison Record newspaper.  In addition, we sponsor the annual Veteran’s Prayer Breakfast at the Hogan Family YMCA and proudly support Still Serving Veterans with an annual contribution.

Veteran of the Year 2013

Major General Al Sullivan (above, left), was presented our 3rd Veteran of the Year award by Rotary President Steve Croomes at the annual Huntsville-Madison County Veterans Day Breakfast at the Von Braun Center.  Shortly after receiving this award, Al showed his appreciation by becoming a Madison Rotarian!  Congratulations, General Sullivan, and welcome to Rotary!
