District 6860 Plans for RYLA 2018

The Rotary Clubs of Greater Huntsville, Downtown Huntsville, and Madison announce thta RYLA 2018 will be held January 25th – 27th at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville.  RYLA is a leadership training program for high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors in Rotary District 6860 of Northern Alabama. Madison Rotary Supports RYLA 2017

RYLA 2017 was a rousing success.  Three Rotary Clubs in North Alabama – Huntsville, Greater Huntsville, and Madison – joined the Huntsville community Rotaract Club in hosting this year’s event at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center on January 26 – 28.  RYLA 2017 invited 117 high school leaders from across North Alabama to engage in learning about Rotary’s mission, leadership, and service.  Rotary Club of Madison sponsored 11 students’ participation in the program.  […]

Bob Jones Interact Students attend RYLA

Garrett Paschal, above left, and Colby Huskey represented Madison at Rotary Youth Leadership Awards at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center.  Paschal and Huskey are members of Interact Club at Bob Jones High School.  They joined teenagers from across North Alabama for the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program. This annual leadership conference is hosted by the Rotary Clubs of Madison, Downtown Huntsville and Greater Huntsville at U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville.

Teens Build Character at Rotary Youth Leadership Awards

The Rotary Club of Madison sponsored 11 teenagers from James Clemens, Bob Jones and St. John Paul II Catholic high schools and Madison and Westminster Christian academies to attend the annual Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA).  All clubs in Rotary District 6860, which covers North Alabama were eligible to sponsor scholars. This year, 106 sophomores, juniors and seniors attended and stayed on-site at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville.

Ninety-Six Area Students Attend RYLA

The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) conference attracted 96 teenagers for a weekend of character building at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center on Jan. 30 through Feb. 1.  Rotary clubs in District 6860 sponsored the selected sophomores, junior and seniors who were  screened for academic records, volunteering and hobbies.
