The JCHS Interact Club participated in two major fundraising efforts during the school year 2016-2017 to raise funds for a child in Haiti they have sponsored for 5 years. Along with Interact students from Bob Jones High School, they worked at a face painting booth at the Madison Street Festival. This event raised over $180. During Valentines Day, the students raised another $200 from their 4th annual Valentine’s Day flower sale.
Bob Jones and James Clemens Interact members spent this beautiful fall Saturday supporting the Madison Street Festival by providing a fun activity for children – face painting! Proceeds from the booth will support the service projects of the high school clubs. The Festival is the largest event the city hosts every year providing musical entertainment, activities, food, and the opportunity to purchase items made locally.
