The Change for Change Campaign

Since 2006, we have been collecting pocket change in an annual campaign to raise money for polio eradication.  It may have started as loose pocket change, but through this campaign, we have donated almost $40,000 to Rotary International’s PolioPlus Program.  With each vaccine costing just $.60, our C4C Campaign has raised enough money to immunize over 66,000 children!  And like most everything else we do in Rotary, we turn service into fellowship.  Each year, […]

Change for Change Campaign 2016: Winner Joe Kemp

President Sandy Patel (l.) congratulates Rotarian Joe Kemp for winning the 11th annual Change for Change Campaign with his “pocket change” of $390.  Thanks to the generous match by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, our contributions this year immunized 14,000 children!  Congratulations Joe and thanks to everyone who participated.

Change for Change 2015 Winner: Amy Thompson

Thanks to Peter Alvarez for coordinating the 2015 Change for Change Campaign that brought in $1,644 for Rotary International’s PolioPlus fund.  In first place this year — and recipient of the club’s $100 matching funds — was Amy Thompson with her contribution of $177.39.  With the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation’s match, this brings Amy’s total to $532,17 — or 887 vaccines — and 8220 vaccines for the club.  Our congratulations to Amy for […]

Change for Change 2014: Winner Gives Foundation a Boost

The 2014 Change for Change (C4C) Campaign was kicked off under a new coordinator, D.J. Change for Change Campaign in its 8th Year

Change for Change 2012 Crowns New Winner: Gail LeCroy

Determined to end Bill Drake’s winning streak, Gail LeCroy brought in a whopping $1.43 in loose change….then topped it off with a final check for $300!  Even Bill’s largest cigar box was not big enough to beat that!  Gail’s winning contribution earned her $100 in club matching funds and Bill’s second place contribution of $270.32 earned him … well … 2nd place. Change for Change: Bill Drake Wins for 3rd Consecutive Year
