Dirt Day at the Children’s Garden

They showed up today at noon and moved several dozen wheel barrow loads of dirt — enough to fill three huge planter boxes.

Also, the team placed the paving stones with symbols and alphabet letters.  Next step is for the sod to be placed (that’s happening tomorrow!)  Thanks to the Rotarians who braved the harsh Alabama fall weather (mid-80s with only 50% humidity and a light breeze) to take us one step closer to the completion of this beautiful children’s garden at the Madison Public Library.  Pictured above, l. to r.: Don Faint, Bill Holtzclaw, Fred Davey, and Gene Pfeiffer.  (Not pictured is Al Turner.)
