Huntsville Rotarian Brett Jones is a former Navy SEAL and a successful CEO. But for four days last November, he went undercover and lived homeless on the streets of downtown Huntsville. Brett’s companion on this journey was Chakri Deverapalli, an engineer who came from India on scholarship. Homeless in Huntsville is a documentary about existence, humanity and empathy. Through this experience, Brett and Chakri not only bring heartwarming awareness to the hardships of the homeless, but their leadership group contributed $5500 to homeless shelters — one hundred times the amount of money they received from donations while living on the street. Brett shared his documentary with us at our weekly meeting and we want to share it with you.
