Rotary President Emily McIntosh presented CW5 Harry Hobbs with Madison Rotary’s 2nd Veteran of the Year award at the Huntsville-Madison County Veterans’ breakfast.
Determined to end Bill Drake’s winning streak, Gail LeCroy brought in a whopping $1.43 in loose change….then topped it off with a final check for $300!
Each May, the Rotary Club of Madison hosts an award ceremony and reception at City Hall for the Madison City Employees of the Year.
It was another great day on the golf course with our Family of Rotary as we enjoyed great fellowship and a pretty good round of golf. That’s the good news.
Tornadoes on April 27, 2011 demolished the Harvest Youth Club playground and petting zoo. Madison Rotarians rebuilt the playground last fall and, along with the Harvest Youth Center, dedicated the site on May 8.
In recent years, Madison Rotarians have generously donated funds to the Madison Hospital.
At the 2012 International Assembly, Rotary International President-elect Sakuji Tanaka asked Rotarians to build Peace Through Service in 2012-13.
